A weekly centerfold for Hi magazine which features legendary athletes of all time. The page focuses on the athlete's achievements in their own fields and how they made it in history.
Each week we are assigned a list of famous athletes to work on and from there we start our research and initial sketches for the page. The challenge of this page is how to make the data more fun, organic, and fluid for the whole design while keeping it packed with information to engage the readers.
This sports graphics was one of the many responsibilities I had as part of the graphics team in MMG, it honed my abilities as a visual journalist. The intense research, creating a graphic instead of words, using data to visualize the success and failure of each athlete. I learned all of these very quickly when making these centerfolds with the guidance of Antonio Farach (head infographic designer) and creative director Adonis Durado.
